The Springfield City School District is proud to celebrate six Springfield High School students who have earned their Ohio Seal of Biliteracy, including three students who earned the seal in multiple languages:
Rihanna Antoine, French
Emerson Babian, Spanish
Alicia Geneus, Spanish & French
Jennifer Mesquite, Spanish
Guerlancia Notis, Haitian Creole & French
Edson Paul, Haitian Creole & French
An Ohio Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other world language. The Seal of Biliteracy is one of several state seals that students can earn in order to fulfill their Ohio graduation requirements.
“To achieve this mastery of a language is no easy feat,” said SCSD Superintendent Dr. Bob Hill. “Our District is incredibly honored to have students, like these six, who work hard during their school careers to better themselves, want to improve their communities and will, no doubt, make a positive difference in a global world.”
