The Springfield City School District is proud to announce several outstanding scores on the 2025 International Baccalaureate (IB) exams.
Class of 2025 Springfield High School alumnus Snaika Dorreus scored a perfect ‘7’ on the IB French B Standard Level exam. This makes the 10th perfect score in school program history in various subjects. Dorreus was among the top 13% of students in the world who scored a ‘7’ on this specific exam.

In addition, three other SHS Class of 2025 graduates, Lily Hatton, Kayla Miller & Brendan Russell earned impressive ‘6s’ on their respective exams, with Miller scoring two ‘6s’ in IB Global Politics Higher Level and IB Math Applications & Interpretations Standard Level. Hatton was in the top 15.8% of students worldwide who took the IB English Literature Higher Level exam and Russell was in the top 11% of students worldwide in IB Math Applications & Interpretations Standard Level.

The IB Programme is designed to offer challenging coursework to academically motivated students in order to prepare them for the rigors of college and become lifelong learners and global citizens. Since 2010, SHS has covered all costs of IB testing, which allows students to participate regardless of family income.
