This week, students from Hayward, Schaefer, SOI and Springfield High School showcased their art, poetry, spoken word and musical abilities at the Springfield Museum of Art during the 'Art that Bonds' event. The theme for this year's event was "The 'I' v. The 'Eye': How I see myself vs. How you see me." We are so proud of these young artists and how well they represented our District! More pictures are available on the District's Instagram.

This lesson really got students in character! Mrs. Lindeman and Ms. Tuttle have been working with their students in the Honors World History classes on a mock trial of King Louis XVI. The students were assigned different roles found in a courtroom, and were responsible for doing research, writing questions and forming arguments in preparation for the trial. Witnesses were put on a stand in front of the jury in order to prove King Louis XVI guilty of three crimes. Witnesses for the defendant also took the stand.
