Springfield City School District's Summer Food Program returns June 1–July 31, providing FREE daily lunch for students ages 18 and under.

🕐 Lunch served from 1–2 PM
📍 Multiple locations across Springfield
✔️ No registration required
✔️ Meals must be eaten on-site

Please note: Program closed June 19 and July 3. Open the app for locations and details!

Reminder: The District will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

We recently had a "Tattoo the Teacher" fundraiser, and the results were so fun!! Thank you to all who donated to tat up the teachers!

Calling all student leaders!! Applications for our 2026-2027 Student Lighthouse team are coming to you THIS WEEK! Current 7th graders interested in being a part of the team, please fill out and submit your application ASAP!

Schaefer Middle School is hosting a student (and staff) talent show on May 20 at 9AM. Doors open at 8:50 for parent seating. Come see all types of voice and instrumental acts from our talented student body!

Congratulations to our SMS students who auditioned for the Springfield Youth Orchestra and Symphony! We are so proud of your bravery, dedication, and skills! Keep making music and magic! 🎵🎶

You can expect free or low-cost summer camp sign-ups, community resources, giveaways, food, and plenty of games to keep everyone entertained!

We are holding a coloring supplies drive in honor of Rikki-Lynn, our secretary Ms. Tami's granddaughter! Please consider donating markers, crayons, colored pencils, and/or activity books! 🎨🖌️🖼️

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SCHAEFER CLARK STATE SCHOLARS INDUCTEES! These students will participate in a pre-college experience throughout high school, led by mentors, and will earn up to 3 years of tuition at Clark State College upon completion of high school and the program. This is such a wonderful opportunity, and we are so, so proud of our scholars! A round of applause for Kileigh Hutchison, Araya and Arian Mount, Nick Fields, Sara Delphonse Vital, Clayton Ross, Rosalie Barnes, and Kaiden Johnson!

OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS: All library books are due NO LATER than Friday, May 1, 2026. Students can either return the books OR 2 unexpired canned food items in place of lost books to Mrs. Compston. Thank you! 📚

Students in grades 8-10 are invited to participate in a student led movement to make change in Clark county! See attached flyer for more information. Paper copies of the flyer will be going home this afternoon with student interims 😁
