Springfield High School students are returning to the regional spotlight as Wildcat Theatre competes in the Miami Valley High School Theatre Awards with their upcoming production of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
This adjudicated performance will be evaluated by theatre professionals as part of the Miami Valley High School Theatre Awards and Showcase, a program that celebrates and elevates high school theatre education across the region. From lead actors to ensemble members, stage managers to technicians, Springfield High students will be recognized for their work both on stage and behind the scenes.
This marks Wildcat Theatre’s second year participating in the regional awards program. In 2025, the group earned six merit awards, showcasing Springfield’s growing theatre program and the dedication of its student performers and crew.
Through this opportunity, students gain valuable feedback from industry professionals, compete alongside peer schools across the Miami Valley and represent Springfield High at a high level of artistic excellence.
Performances will be held March 19–20 at 7 PM and March 21 at 2 PM at the John Legend Theater.
The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
