Snowhill Elementary -

Snowhill Elementary had two amazing nights bringing the sounds of the season to our families and friends. Our Kindergarten through 3rd grade students performed on Monday evening and grades 4th through 6th closed out our concert season on Tuesday evening. Our music teacher, Miss Gaertner, put on two fabulous performances! Snowhill Elementary wishes you a blessed and bright holiday and very happy new year!

Snowhill Elementary students had quite the welcome during Friday morning's arrival. The Grinch himself stopped by to welcome students, spread holiday cheer, and share just how big his heart had grown by the good deeds of others!

December breakfast and lunch menus (including Clark ELC & SOI) are now available online and in the SCSD app! To view in the app: Choose your child's building from the 'Schools' button in the bottom right corner. Then select 'Menu' in the bottom left corner and choose 'Dining' where you can view the menu for each day of the month. To view online: Choose the 'Services' tab at the top of the webpage > Food & Nutrition > Menus.

Good afternoon Snowhill families, Snowhill Elementary will release students at 12:00 pm this Friday, December 1st. The Springfield High School Wildcat football team will be playing in the State Championship game in Canton, Ohio on Friday, December 1, 2023. In order to ensure all staff, students, families and friends who wish to travel to Canton to support the football team in their quest for the state title may do so, the Springfield City School District will be releasing students 3 hours early on Friday. Buildings will dismiss at the following times: Springfield High School at 11:00 AM Elementary Buildings at 12:00 PM School of Innovation at 12:17 PM Middle Schools at 12:45 PM We encourage families to travel to the game or follow along on social media and available streaming services through the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Tickets are available at ohsaa.org/tickets. Please refrain from parking in business lots during both arrival and dismissal as you are at the risk of being towed. Kindergarten Playground: To ensure continued safety during our dismissal process, please note that the Kindergarten playground is not accessible for play until after 3:20 each day. As a continuation of our new website, the District has launched an accompanying mobile app that buildings will be able to use as a tool to communicate with students and families. Leader in Me Monthly Focus: Habit 3-- PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST- All students are working hard at being leaders as they are learning how to PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST in all aspects of life. Leader in Me Monthly Focus: Habit 3-- PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST- All students are working hard at being leaders as they are learning how to PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST in all aspects of life. All of our classes have been discussing ways that each student can be a leader in the building. Weekly Success Highlight: As we continue to learn and grown, we will take time each week to highlight success. A building goal this year is for students to spend time, each week, and work towards their "Personalized Instruction Lessons" on the iReady platform. Students are tasked with completing two lessons, per subject, per week. The goal is for students to achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on each lesson. As you know, it is imperative that students are on time and ready to learn each day. REMINDER-- Picture retake day is Monday, November 6th! Students having their picture retaken should bring the first picture packet back with them. Any students that missed picture day will get their picture taken. Parents can order online at shop.hrimaging.com or pick up an order form in the office.

It's Celebration Day! Thank you "Cards in Yard" for the awesome display in our front lawn! We are taking a day to pause and focus on ALL of our success from last year, as well as, the start of this year!

Support our District Hygiene Drive! Bring in a donation of new hygiene items to the Buffalo Wild Wings in Springfield and receive a coupon for 6 free boneless wings. Items needed include soap, body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrushes, mouthwash, shampoo, body spray & women's hygiene supplies. In addition, if you dine in at Buffalo Wild Wings tonight (4-8 p.m.), 15% of food sales will be donated back to the District. Please let your server know you are dining for the fundraiser. Thank you for supporting our students!

Happy Homecoming Week, Wildcats! All buildings are celebrating the festivities by participating in Spirit Week and dressing in a different theme each day beginning tomorrow.
