She truly “eased on down the road” to the Emerald City, embodying the spirit of Dorothy’s journey—leading with heart, courage, and wisdom every step of the way. Just like Dorothy, she reminds us all to believe in ourselves and that there’s no place like our school community.

The Summer Lunch Program is back! 🥪
The program provides free lunch for District students under the age of 18, Monday-Friday, starting June 2 running through August 1. Sites will be closed on June 19 for Juneteenth and on July 4 for Independence Day.

Today, Officer Jackson joined us in a 1st grade classroom to read the heartwarming story Enemy Pie. 🍰📖 Together, we explored how small acts of kindness and understanding can turn "enemies" into friends. 💛✨
After the story, Officer Jackson shared an exciting behind-the-scenes look at her important role. She stood up and explained the "tools" on her vest, showing how she uses them to keep our school safe every day. 🛠️👩✈️

2 HOUR DELAY: Due to slick road and sidewalk conditions in parts of the city, the SCSD will be delayed TWO HOURS on Thursday, February 20. Please note that students will be permitted inside their school buildings 30-minutes prior to the official delayed start time of the school day and that breakfast will not be served.
