The Springfield City School District will hold an upcoming public hearing on the use of state funds.
The SCSD receives funds through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) via the Consolidated Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP). These funds are called Title funds or Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) funds.
The hearing will be held on Friday, September 19 at 8:30 AM at The Dome, 700 S. Limestone Street (3rd Floor, Trust Meeting Room). The District welcomes the general public and parents of children enrolled in the District to provide input regarding the use of these funds at the hearing.
Money received through these funds is used to provide financial assistance to districts and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.
Comments may be sent to Dr. Pamela Shay, Director of Federal Programs, via mail at The Dome or via email at shaypk@scsdoh.org.
