May 22, 2020

Dear SCSD Parents and Guardians,

Three more days of school left! Can you believe it? We will make it across the finish line together. In the words of Maya Angelou, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” Our world changed before our eyes. However, we are Wildcats and we were not reduced. We changed and grew together and I am proud of our team.

As stated each week, it is very important to read weekly updates in their entirety, as the District will continue to answer many year end procedural questions.

Athletics

While we are excited by the news from the Governor's Office pertaining to the easing of restrictions for certain sports, we will remain in communication with the OHSAA and take the time necessary to ensure that the safety of our students remains our top priority.

The Springfield City School District facilities will remain closed and our coaches will continue the no contact period with student athletes until we receive more guidance regarding safety protocols and are able to plan appropriately to ensure the health and safety of all.

Distance Learning Survey

Don’t forget! Students in grades 2-12, as well as all (grades PK-12) teachers, principals, and parents or guardians, we need your input about how things are going during this time of remote learning. If you haven’t already responded to our survey, please take a moment to do so. If you have completed it, thank you SO much!

Your participation is important and will ensure that we can take appropriate action to support you and our student(s).

We are collecting survey responses from Friday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 27. Below is the URL to access our district survey landing page. Once there, select the Parent survey and then select your school from the drop-down menu.
